He doesn’t need to “win over” women and African-Americans─just convince a few of them not to vote for Hillary
by Jonathan David Farley, D.Phil. (Oxon.)
Trump should now see clearly that the advice he has been taking─being “presidential,” not attacking personally, backing away from his signature issues (illegal immigration), being politically correct (supporting the “LGBTQ community”), and apologizing for liking beautiful women has not worked.
To win, Trump needs to go back to doing what got him the nomination─ignore the politically correct advisors. To quote Trump: “I fully think apologizing’s a great thing, but you have to be wrong…. I will absolutely apologize, some time in the hopefully distant future, if I’m ever wrong.”
Here is a strategy for how Trump can win, related to two demographic groups: women and African-Americans.
(1) Trump should make Mrs. Janet Bloomfield a surrogate. She was instrumental in popularizing the #WomenAgainstFeminism hashtag on Twitter, which has grown into a movement millions of women embrace. Mrs. Bloomfield has been on BBC, the Today Show, and The Doctors. As the Director of Social Media for “A Voice for Men,” the leading men’s rights forum, she can suppress the “bimbo eruptions” (to borrow from Hillary) in a way that Trump’s campaign manager, Kellyanne Conway, won’t.
Trump can’t pull any punches when it comes to these “nasty women.” If he does, who knows, maybe he’ll be on trial next year like Bill Cosby, who also took it easy on his accusers. Trump just needs to make an example of one and no more will emerge.
Kellyanne Conway can keep her position, but the Saturday Night Live spoof shows that it was a mistake for Trump to issue apologies for his past behavior. As the Washington Post makes clear, Conway is defending the candidate she wishes he was…but that’s not the candidate his real supporters want. She is undermining that candidate, the real Donald J. Trump.
Instead, Trump should send Conway to the Ecuadorian embassy in London. That will at least force the mainstream media to cover some of the WikiLeaks epiphanies about Hillary.
Finally, the Trump campaign should go on full blast about how Hillary laughed at a 12 year-old rape victim, whose rapist Hillary defended despite thinking he was guilty. Sure─one could argue, as CNN’s Don Lemon did, that Hillary was “merely” laughing at the case, but let the Hillary supporters explain that one to the public.
A sample script for Trump: “Hillary laughed about a 12 year-old girl who was raped. Hillary helped a man accused of raping a 12 year-old girl get off with time served (two months). I believe one is innocent until proven guilty, but the point is Hillary Clinton thought the man was guilty─and still laughed.” (See 1:55 and 4:56 of Hillary’s video.)
(2) Trump doesn’t need the African-American vote to win: he simply wants Hillary to not get 90% of the African-American vote. (Gore, who won the popular vote, got 90% of the black vote, while Kerry, who lost, got 88%.)
Here is how to accomplish that. For starters, African-American pastors are champing at the bit to tear into Obama’s support for alternative lifestyles. Trump needs to reverse course completely on his support for the “LGBTQ community,” which gets him perhaps one percent of one percent of the vote. African-Americans listen to the pastors. Trump can begin by supporting the ban on men using the women’s restroom.
Next, Trump should go on full blast with the following sample script: “Hillary, can you explain why your husband praised a group of KKK supporters? He praised [enunciate slowly] the United Daughters of the Confederacy─the Confederacy. They made Ku Klux Klan postcards.”
LETTER NO. 1
Letter from President Bill Clinton to the United Daughters of the Confederacy in the United Daughters of the Confederacy Magazine, September 1994, Vol. 57 No. 8, page 9. This was a special centennial anniversary edition of the magazine and has an outer cover and a standard magazine cover.
Here is the evidence: “Senator Hillary Clinton Must Explain The Praising of a Group of KKK Supporters.”
The masterstroke is the following: Trump can also speak to African-Americans and liberals about what they want from Democrats─from free health care to free college to the closing of Guantanamo to the reining in of Wall Street─and how the Democrats and Obama didn’t give it to them. That will undermine enthusiasm for Hillary. It is irrelevant if Republicans also want to keep Guantanamo open, etc. It is Hillary who needs the Bernie Sanders supporters, not Donald Trump.
