On a scale of one to ten, how desperately does Prime Minister Ken Doll Total Faggot Justin Trudeau whore for attention? Dude, please. Put your clothes back on and just stahp. No one wants to see it.
For those of you who follow me on Facebook, where I have to use my real name because Mark Zuckerberg is a giant faggot, too (if you post this article, take the ‘hey faggots’ part out or he will suspend you), I’ve just come off a short suspension for calling the PM a faggot, which he clearly is. I have no doubt that if questioned, both Trudeau and Zuckerberg would claim that faggot is some sort of homophobic slur, yet what pisses them off is that they both know faggot means nothing of the kind, and that’s why they’re annoyed.
Zuckerberg and Trudeau are weak, whiny losers, and faggot is precisely the best word to describe them. Let’s pause for a moment and consider Milo and his Dangerous Faggot Tour. In Milo’s case, he is using the term provocatively and ironically – playing on the former definition of faggot as a homosexual, while reclaiming the term defiantly to serve his purposes, targeting the exact audience responsible for the evolution of the meaning of the word faggot: young men.
Faggot doesn’t mean ‘gay’, gay doesn’t mean ‘effervescently happy’, queer doesn’t mean ‘odd’ and language evolves, no matter how much social justice, feminist busybodies hector and censor. Here is what I find so queer about the whole argument: the censorious totalitarians who want to decide how language evolves are actively harming the very people they claim to be defending.
How can they not see that?
Let’s consider the word ‘retarded’. According to Urban Dictionary, it currently means ‘”very stupid” but in a more hilarious, weird, and/or spontaneous way. From the Latin word for “slow”.’ For a long time, retarded was a term used to refer to people with Down Syndrome and most sane people now understand that calling someone with Down Syndrome ‘retarded’ simply because they have Down Syndrome is offensive and bad, not the least because individuals with Down Syndrome are often described as “charming,” “affectionate,” “outgoing,” “cheerful,” “happy,” and “sociable”, quite the opposite of stupid, hilarious and weird. Mental retardation is derived from the same Latin root for ‘slow’, but is no longer considered an acceptable way to refer to people with chromosomal abnormalities, like Down Syndrome.
The word retarded has evolved to mean something else entirely.
How cruel do you have to be to fight to make certain that retarded continues to be a word that refers specifically to people with Down Syndrome? Why on earth would anyone reject the evolution of the word here and insist on the eternal relationship between Down Syndrome and a word we all understand to be completely offensive when used in that context? I’m pretty sure the overwhelming majority of individuals with Down Syndrome are quite relieved to see the word move away from being a descriptor of a medical condition that applies uniquely to them towards something that theoretically could apply to them, but to everyone else as well. Obviously, people with Down Syndrome can be retarded.
They just have to do something stupid, hilarious and weird.
Retarded is not the only word in the English language that has evolved away from being a specific descriptor of a medical problem towards a more general descriptor that can apply to anyone. People on the autism spectrum were once known as morons, imbeciles and idiots (quite erroneously, too – they actually tend to have very high IQs). Where are the social justice warriors fighting for the right of autistic people to be called idiots on the sole grounds that they have autism? People who couldn’t speak were known as dumb. People who couldn’t walk were known as cripples. Dwarf, feeble, freak, lame – all used to refer to very specific medical conditions and are now just common descriptors that can apply to anyone, really. If you pull a muscle in martial arts, you can say, ‘that class totally crippled me’ and no one freaks out, but the second you say ‘my faggot instructor crippled me’, suddenly you’re being homophobic.
I call bullshit and I mean that in the sense of Harry G. Frankfurt’s fantastic essay On Bullshit, which I heartily recommend everyone read. The tl;dr is that bullshit is unconcerned with truthfulness and more concerned with appearances – it’s virtue-signalling of the highest order.
And in the case of the words ‘retarded’ and ‘faggot’, it’s a kind of virtue signalling that actually harms the groups the language police claim to protect: we don’t want the word retard to describe a person with Down Syndrome, and we don’t want the word faggot to describe a gay man. Let the language evolve away from these terms! Seriously, just stop with the language and tone policing.
It’s totally gay.
Lots of love,
